NorthwestTekno (and it's genesis ? the printed "Scene Not Herd" zine) grew out of frustration with techno-culture. I want innovation and creativity to be the norm rather than the exception and for talented local artists to be recognized. Both SNH and NWT have been nonprofit ventures ? I strongly disapprove of the commodification of this culture and those who seek to exploit it. I want to help people understand why we are so passionate about this community and its music. I want to inspire people to get involved and do something proactive, to collaborate with each other on projects and ideas, to put some real energy into improving what we have.
